I lived there for 40 years and then moved around the west coast of the US-
Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. I now live in Chicago.
I am, for the most part, self-taught. I am a professional artist and make the
BDSM drawings as part of my work. I love to use ballpoint pens- for me the rich
black tones are hard to achieve in any other medium. The sihoulette series of
drawings started as a commission for a club in Seattle. I make a careful line
drawing and then fill in and finish the background with photoshop. On occasion-
I make pieces entirely in photoshop, but they always are made only of
photographs I "find" on the internet. Ballpoint pen ink can be blended with
stomps or Q-tips, much like graphite- although, on paper, I prefer to use
traditional crosshatching techniques. I am currently developing drawings on wood
with ballpoint pen and watercolor. |
